Mary Novakovich is an award-winning journalist, travel writer and author based in Hertfordshire. As well as specialising in Croatia, Serbia and other Eastern European nations, she often writes about France, Italy and Greece.
Her work is regularly published in the likes of The Independent, The Guardian and The Telegraph, among others. Mary has written guidebooks including Insight Guides Croatia, Frommer's Guide to France and Explore Dubrovnik.
She's also the author of travel memoir My Family and Other Enemies: Life and Travels in Croatia's Hinterland, which was published in 2022 by Bradt.
