A novelist and travel writer, Luke Waterson writes for publications including the BBC, the Independent, the Telegraph, the Guardian and travel publisher Lonely Planet, for whom he currently specialises in telling the world about the Caribbean and Latin America (especially the Amazon rainforest).
His debut novel, Roebuck, is set on the stormy seas and in the strange jungles of 16th-century South America. He also runs the world's leading in-English website dedicated to Slovak travel and culture, Englishman in Slovakia.
