Notte Bianca (3 October 2026)

Taking place on the first Saturday of October, Notte Bianca is one of Malta's major art and culture events. Free to attend, it transforms Valletta's streets, squares, museums and churches for a night of live performances and concerts with many cafés and restaurants staying open late.

Rolex Middle Sea Race (17-24 October 2026)

Stretching 606 nautical miles long, the Rolex Middle Sea Race is an annual offshore yacht competition organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club. The fleet sets off from Grand Harbour, Valletta, before tracing a loop around Sicily and its surrounding islands back to Malta.

Defected Malta (1-4 October 2026)

First held in 2022, Defected Malta is an annual weekend-long celebration of dance music. Spread across four venues around the island, the festival hosts more than 50 international house artists with outdoor club shows, pool parties and boat parties all on the agenda.

Anjunadeep Malta (8-11 October 2026)

Anjunadeep Malta is a four-day celebration of music and community taking place in handpicked, extraordinary locations around the island including historic castles, open-air clubs and sunkissed beaches. The festival hosts 29 artists, as well as a Thursday welcome bash and Sunday boat parties.

Commonwealth Youth Games (29 October-4 November 2027)

For 2027, Malta will be the host of the Commonwealth Youth Games, drawing elite athletes aged 14-18 from Commonwealth Sport's 74 nations and territories for a dynamic programme featuring eight sports. Equipped with world-class facilities, the venues will be spread across both islands.
