Founded in 1962, The Golden Knight Malta International Film Festival is one of the world's longest-running short film festivals. Organised by the Malta Cine Circle, it presents over 300 productions from more than 40 countries with the best five receiving a Golden Knight trophy and certificate.

Commonwealth Youth Games (29 October-4 November 2027)

For 2027, Malta will be the host of the Commonwealth Youth Games, drawing elite athletes aged 14-18 from Commonwealth Sport's 74 nations and territories for a dynamic programme featuring eight sports. Equipped with world-class facilities, the venues will be spread across both islands.

Zurrieq Half Marathon & 10K (15 November 2026)

Passing through various Maltese villages, the Zurrieq Half Marathon & 10K is one of Malta's biggest road races, attracting elite athletes and everyday runners alike. Accessible for all levels, the event offers three distances: a half marathon, 10K and a kids' race.
