Hands up who's craving a bit of R&R in the sun? Thankfully, the chances of sliding onto a lounger on a soft sandy beach are improving and TUI has a wide variety of holidays* for all budgets to a number of countries that feature on the UK government's green and amber traffic light lists.

Please note: while the UK government is easing rules and regulations around entering the UK, other countries have their own restrictions in place.

Be sure to check the status and entry requirements in relation to testing and quarantine of any country you consider for a holiday in 2022 before booking.

Green list destinations

The official green list is a work in progress and one we all hope will continue to grow throughout the summer. Countries that feature will be the easiest to return from.

  • No quarantine required on arrival in the UK
  • PCR test on or before day 2 back in the UK

Did you know? TUI is offering two affordable Covid-19 testing packages starting from £20* for holidaymakers travelling to green-listed destinations designed to reduce the costs of international travel.

Gibraltar

A new addition to TUI's portfolio, Gibraltar* is an exciting prospect for anyone who's yet to experience life on The Rock in southern Spain.

A British Overseas Territory, Gibraltar marries familiar sights, sounds and flavours (think policemen, post boxes and cuisine) with the glorious Spanish weather all in the shadow of the giant Rock of Gibraltar, a limestone ridge home to resident Barbary macaques.

While there's a handful of rocky and sandy beaches, swimming pools are in abundance with the lido at Camp Bay particularly popular. Given its strategic location, Gibraltar is also renowned for its historic attractions, from the medieval Moorish Castle complex and Charles V wall to the vital WWII tunnels that date from the Napoleonic era.

Jersey*, the largest of the Channel Islands just off the coast of Normandy, is steeped in history and bursting with natural beauty. The north side of the island is more rugged and rocky while the southern and western sides boast endless beaches lapped by turquoise waters.
