This promise guarantees the best price at the time of booking, option of a refund (including deposit) and ability to change your booking, among other benefits.

Unlike many airlines, passengers who book a flight with easyJet* will continue to be able to alter their flights without paying a fee up to two hours prior to departure until the end of March 2022.

Meanwhile, easyJet's 'Travel Restrictions Protection', which allows passengers, and those who have booked with easyJet holidays*, to get a refund, voucher or transfer flights for free if a travel ban or hotel quarantine comes into force, will run until the end of December 2022 for added peace of mind.

Sophie Dekkers, Chief Commercial Officer, said: "We know that flexibility continues to be crucial for our customers, so we've extended our Protection Promise to help customers book flights with confidence, safe in the knowledge they can make plans to travel without having to worry about incurring change fees or the expenses of mandatory restrictions, should their trip be impacted".

easyJet extends flexibility of 'Protection Promise' - 29 Apr 2021

Good news for easyJet* customers - the low cost airline has extended a series of flexible booking policies to encourage people to book flights and holidays with confidence under its 'Protection Promise'.

Passengers will be able to change their flights for free up to two hours before departure. Unlike most other airlines, passengers will be free to amend both their dates and destination giving them a choice of flights to 35 destinations up to the end of September 2021.

What's more, if a mandatory hotel quarantine is imposed and due to impact a future trip, passengers can request a refund for their flight within four weeks of departure even if the flight hasn't been cancelled.

Those booking with easyJet holidays* can make changes to their trip for free up to 28 days before departure or if a destination is added to the amber list, they can change their holiday fee-free right up to 24 hours before departure. If destinations are added to the red list, holidaymakers can immediately change or cancel their holiday for free.

The airline has said: "This means that if there are some travel restrictions impacting their destination country, such as self-isolation in destination or on return to the UK, customers can easily change their trip to another country on easyJet's network."
