UK travellers confident about 2021 holidays

The latest survey results from Booking.com*, which polled 28,042 people across 28 countries, including 1,000 from the UK, shows a great deal of optimisim when it comes to travels in 2021.

Among the findings, 68% of the UK travellers surveyed said they felt more hopeful about travelling in 2021 given the success of the vaccine rollout and 64% confirmed they don't plan to travel internationally until they've been vaccinated.

Meanwhile, 67% said they'd be willing to accept only being able to travel if they could prove they have been vaccinated and 73% said they'd accept having to wear a face mask when travelling.

When it comes to the type of break, 22% said they'd go for a relaxing beach holiday or spa break while only 4% would book an active trip.

As for where people want to go, Booking.com revealed its latest search traffic: internationally, the top five destinations where Barcelona, Paris, Marbella, Rome and Dubai while at home, Bath, Newquay, St Ives, Edinburgh and Blackpool made the UK hot list.
