Explore! to restart Tunisia tours in 2024/2025

Adventure tour specialist, Explore*, has launched a range of small group tours to Tunisia* for the first time since it halted trips over security concerns in 2015.

The 10-day Best of Tunisia* tour begins in the capital Tunis and, among other sites, takes in the desert town of Tozeur, the largest salt flats in the Sahara, Chott el Jerid, and Roman ruins of El Jem before ending in the Mediterranean resort town of Hammamet.

Antony Barton, Explore's Africa Product Manager, said: "Tunisia is a destination that we've been asked a lot about in the last couple of years, and the demand is absolutely there.

"We've almost filled the nine departures we put on for 2024 in its first year back on sale, with 13 departures already starting to sell well for 2025.

Explore! reveals new e-bike tours for 2024

Explore has announced that it will trial cycling tours to France and Croatia exclusively using e-bikes next year.

The operator will also add e-bike options to almost every existing cycle tour*, making itineraries accessible for all regardless of confidence and experience.

Explore! to restart Lebanon tours from spring 2023

Explore has said it will relaunch its tours to Lebanon* in April 2023.

This follows the easing of the FCDO's warning against travel to the majority of Lebanon in December 2022.

The six-night Highlights of Lebanon* tour will run throughout the year from April.

Alison Butler, Explore's Middle East Product Manager, said: "I'm just delighted to get our Highlights of Lebanon trip back on sale for 2023. This was one of our bestselling trips when we launched it in 2020, and we just know demand will be huge again this year.

"Lebanon is a really special country, with incredible historic sites, beautiful scenery and incredible food, but we also know just how much the people of Lebanon will benefit from renewed income from tourism."

Explore launches 11 new overland European tours for 2022/2023

Explore has revealed no fewer than 11 brand new overland tours across Europe for 2022/2023 with a focus on slow, sustainable travel.

These exciting new itineraries allow time to appreciate each destination with rail journeys and public transport central to each route.

Choose from the likes of island hopping in Greece*, travelling overland through Spain*, Portugal* and Morocco*, and riding the rails from Rome to Venice in Italy*.

Explore launches exclusive US tours for 2023 solar eclipse

Leading specialist tour operator, Explore, has launched a collection of exclusive new eclipse tours* to the USA built around the 2023 solar eclipse.

Each tour promises the chance to watch as a 'ring of fire' appears around the moon when the sun passes in front of it, which will last approximately four minutes.

The tours, which all depart in early October 2023 ahead of the eclipse on 14 October, offer enticing itineraries with dramatic vantage points for viewing the eclipse like Monument Valley and Arizona, all with an expert astronomer on hand.
