Dominica weather overview
Dominica lies at the north end of the Windward Islands and has a mountainous central ridge with tropical rainforest. Its main rainy season is from June to December but showers can occur at any time and there is a possibility of hurricanes between July and November. As on other Caribbean Islands, temperatures are high throughout the year but never extreme.
Even during the hottest months, sea breezes counter the effects of heat and humidity although it can get muggy at night.
