FAQs
Can I rent my ski equipment through NUCO Travel?
Yes. NUCO Travel works closely with Skiset to provide equipment hire*. If you want to hire equipment through NUCO Travel, it's recommended that you arrange it at the time of booking. If you'd rather arrange your equipment hire separately, SkiSet is recommended for French resorts and Rentaski for Andorra resorts.
If you're booking your ski equipment through NUCO, please note that once the balance deadline has passed, equipment hire cannot be added or removed. Allocations are subject to availability and NUCO is unable to guarantee that the location of the hire shop will be the closest to your accommodation.
How do I book lessons?
You can book ski and snowboarding lessons* for all levels through NUCO Travel. Usually, the lessons are operated through the ESF ski school, which has highly qualified instructors in 250 ski resorts in the Alps. If ESF doesn't operate in your resort, NUCO Travel will recommend an alternative provider.
Some ski schools have programmes for very young children and formal childcare facilities are available in most resorts and ski areas. It's always worth checking whether the staff have an NVQ or diploma in childcare and whether the staff are CRB-checked.
Will there be a NUCO representative at my resort?
Not always. However, NUCO's dedicated team is contactable via the app, chat or telephone seven days a week. If you have an emergency during your ski holiday, please call the European Emergency Service number on 112.
What is the NUCO Academy?
The NUCO Academy is a group of eight talented athletes who represent NUCO in UK competitions and alpine events each year. The athletes are chosen by NUCO and comprise both skiers and boarders. These athletes also serve as brand ambassadors for the freestyle scene.
