Neilson's recently refurbished Alana Beachclub^* sits betwixt a sheltered bay and the lush expanse and high peaks of the Paklenica National Park. The new-look resort is is full of mod-cons and contemporary decor, as well as carefully manicured gardens and a brand new heated swimming pool.

There's also plenty to keep everyone from families with young children to loved up couples entertained be it hiking and mountain biking or water sports such as windsurfing, SUP and water skiing.

Of course, there's plenty to do away from the resort including visiting nearby Zadar and the islands dotted close to Alana Beachclub. Do factor in some time for wine tasting - a treat in a country whose domestic wine production is so good but so small scale, it's rarely exported.

Neilson's adult-only seaside resort Buca Beachclub^*, Analipsi is a luxurious waterfront hotel that sits amidst the Pamisos river and the seaside village of Petalidi.
