FAQs

Are Macs Adventure holidays family-friendly?

Each Macs Adventure trip* has a minimum age requirement, with the youngest age requirement being 12 years old. If all family members are at least 12 years old and you're looking for advice on which adventure holiday will be most suitable for your family, please contact the team at Macs Adventure, and its team of specialists will be able to help you find family-friendly holidays.

Can I change the dates of my trip?

Yes, you can make changes to the dates of your trip* up to six weeks before your departure date. Please note that an amendment fee applies, and all changes are subject to availability. Prices are also determined by the revised departure date, which may increase the cost of your holiday.

What happens if I'm unavailable to walk?

If you're unable to walk a section of your route, you're very welcome to take a local taxi. Before beginning your trip, you'll be provided with guidance on the best ways to shorten or skip sections of your walk. Your accommodation host is also on hand to provide advice and help to arrange a taxi if required.

Should you be unable to walk due to illness or an injury, it's advised to contact your travel insurance provider before you make arrangements or submit a claim. Macs Adventure is also on hand to help; however, organising a taxi transfer through the Macs Adventure team* may take longer and could incur an amendment charge. The fastest and most convenient way to arrange transport is to do so locally.
