Bhutan weather overview
Bhutan, a small mountainous country in the Himalayas, has a seasonal climate and conditions vary with altitude, temperatures falling deeper the higher up you go. In the spring and autumn, rainfall is lower and days, although bright and sunny, are pleasantly warm rather than hot. The mountain foothills are the best place to be in the winter months: higher up, the weather can be very cold. However, even in the lower reaches, you should go prepared for very chilly nights.
What to pack for Bhutan weather
If you are staying low in the mountains, take light clothes for the day with warmer wraps for the evenings and always be prepared for rain. However, if you are going high up into the mountains, take much warmer attire.
